In 1962, Rick Wilcox founded Wilcox Truck Bodies in Streetsville, Ontario, Canada. At the time, he sold Van Bodies, Stake and Platform Bodies, Farm Bodies, and odd repairs. At that time, only a few Service and Utility Bodies were produced. In 1980, current owner John Dick purchased Wilcox Bodies from Rick Wilcox, where he then focused the company on manufacturing custom steel and aluminium Service and Utility Truck Bodies. According to customers, sales of Wilcox Truck Bodies have increased, and their popularity has spread across Canada and the United States. As Wilcox Bodies' popularity has grown, so has their manufacturing facility as new facilities have been added over the years. In 2007, Wilcox Bodies Limited moved from their old facility in Streetsville, Ontario to the current, much larger location, where they continue to manufacture high-quality services truck bodies and offer first-rate customer service.
